Weekly Market Watch: Comeback Attack

Week 2 of the NFL season delivered some of the craziest finishes we’ve ever seen. Two teams, the Dolphins and Cardinals, overcame halftime deficits of 20 or more points, while the Jets rallied from 13 down in the final 1:31 to beat the Browns.

Traders on Sporttrrade may have been spared the worst of it had they traded out from the eventual losers at their peak! Lesson learned: collect the gains before the witching hour sets in 🧙‍♀️

🚨 Biggest Game of the Week: GB Packers at TB Buccaneers, Sunday Sept. 25 @ 4:25pm ET

Despite the offseason drama, the Bucs have opened the year strong, especially on the defensive side of the ball with head coach Todd Bowles’ hard-hitting unit allowing a total of 13 points through two games. But with an already decimated WR corps made worse by the suspension of Mike Evans, contracts of Bucs (-3.5) are trading at just $44, meaning the market sees Bucs (-3.5) of having around a 44% chance of covering the spread. Will TB12 continue to prove the doubters wrong on Sunday?

💸 YOLO Play: JAX Jaguars at LA Chargers, Sunday, Sept. 26 @ 4:05pm ET

Anyone else feeling those positive vibes emanating from Jacksonville? It’s amazing how much the absence of Urban Meyer can turn things around. As of Tuesday morning, the price of the Jaguars to win outright is just $28 on Sporttrade. This game carries a lot of unknowns, but here’s something we do know, Justin Herbert got beat up last game by the Chiefs so badly that he struggled to even throw the ball away at one point. The Jaguars are too frisky to ignore at this point, so why not take a shot on them to win outright for a big gain?

🍾 Congratulations Are In Order: For the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces! The Aces took a dominant regular season and marched their way through the postseason, downing the Connecticut Sun in four games to win the WNBA Finals. The win marks the first championship by a major professional sports franchise in Las Vegas history! It’s still early, but with the vaunted Becky Hammon at the helm, this feels like the beginning of a dynastic run for the Aces.
